| Warren Haynes - Tales of Ordinary Madness Band: Warren Haynes Tracks: - Fire In The KItchen - Kiss Tomorrow Good-bye - Movers And Shakers - I'll Be The One - Blue Radio - Invisible - Sister Justice - Angel City - Tattoos And Cigarettes - Power And The Glory - Broken Promised Land THINKING MANS BLUES/ROCK A brilliant CD from a superb musician/guitarist. Great songs with inspirational lyrics that almost reach dylanesc depth and perception. Unlike one of the other reviewers, I find the depth of lyrics a bonus and not a minus. Warren also has one of the best voices in rock and delivers with great emotion and conviction. I wish he had played a bit ( even a lot ) more guitar as this CD contains some very choice solos and guitar work. This guy is world class, but doesn't show it enough on this CD. In every way this is a brilliant BLUES/ROCK CD from one very underrated singer/guitarists. More guitar would certainly have gained this CD 5 stars. Auctioneers Beware! Warren is a great guitar player, singer AND songwriter. This is a nice effort on an initial solo outing. The lyrics are very good, but the one weakness as well - there's just too darn many of them. Warren has one helluva lot to say and doesn't seem to have enough time to get it all in thus is propelled into auctioneer speed reciting the complex Freudian intricacies of modern society and the angst of a White boy tryin to play the blooz (geez!). Probably would be a great bunch of tunes to see him do Live as the instrumental sections take a larger role. Go for anything with Warrens name on it - all the Gov't Mule's are good as is (obviously) the Allman Bros. work. Yep, get a dose of the Mule! electric blues and slide guitars great collection of songs pre Allman Brothers days, each song is played with great conviction with great vocals and great guitar work, best cuts are "fire in the kitchen and "street justice.
