| Sade - Love Deluxe Band: Sade Tracks: - No Ordinary Love - Feel No Pain - I Couldn't Love You More - Like A Tattoo - Kiss Of Life - Cherish The Day - Pearls - Bullet Proof Soul - Mermaid "SUPER DELUXE" "Love Deluxe" is Sade's best album. The Flow of the album is dreamy, lulling one into a state of relaxation. It's perfect "love mood music" as Sade sings in her cool, relaxed style. "No Ordinary Love," "Couldn't Love You More," "Kiss of Life" and the JAM, "Cherish the Day" are the highpoints to me of the fantastic musical experience this album provides. Sade's style is elegant, cool, easy. I remember when "Diamond Life" came out. With all the hype, I wasn't a Believer in the beginning. I felt, "ok, she's beautiful and her beauty has everybody captivated; she'll be a one-hit wonder." Then I heard "Diamond Life" and I was hooked. I wanted to discount her again on "Promise" and I was mistaken once more. The LADY IS TOUGH. And "Love Deluxe" helps her claim the title of "FIRST LADY OF SMOOTH JAZZ." This is one of my picks for my desert island music play list. I Love this album, one of the best of the '90's. If she doesn't record again (I hope not!), this is a great, last album. Deluxe sounds Although this is not the best record of SADE it has some very good songs. Unlike her past albums, this one has a more R&B sound."Cherish the Day" and"Feel no Pain" might leave hardcore fans longing for past recordings with a more jazzy and world music flavor like "Paradise" or "Your Love is King".Still the record has some jewels like "Kiss of Life" (one of my all time best Sade songs) "I Couldn't Love you more"(5 STAR SONG) and the best track of the album "Bullet proof soul". This is a very good album for SADE fans and an Excellent album for first time listeners of SADE A very solid effort, but it's time for a new cd. Just where has Sade been? It's been 6 years since this album and I still listen to it on a regular basis. Considering I have 300+ cd's, that's a pretty good endorsement. Through the years since this came out, I've grown to favor different tracks than I did when it was new. "Like a Tattoo" and "Slow Bullet" are My Favorite tracks. "Slow Bullet" hits me everytime. The thing I like most about it is that Sade's vocals start out almost as a whisper, but steadily the passion both in her voice and the music seem to build. If you are a fan of her first 2 albums, you may not dig this one as much. Just keep in mind though that the way music sounded in 1984 was much different than 1992 (when this album was made). I think the true mark of an Artist is the ability to keep up with the times while still maintaining thier individual style. Sade definitely does that on "Love Deluxe". I hope she comes out with something new very soon, because there is no one else out there who can imitate her.
