If there was ever a oxy moron to be said, it's a boyband taking themselves too seriously. And here, you've got some great fun catchy songs. This isn't Jewel or R.E.M., it's funky pop at its best. The gems on this CD are, of course, Bye Bye Bye as well as the title song, It Makes Me Ill, Digital Get Down, I'll Be Good For You, and Just Got Paid - a surprisingly smooth cover. There are some tracks to skip, which is why I don't give it 5 stars. I'm not a really sappy person, so the 2 ballads (aside from the VERY nice a cappella last track)and Space Cowboy are rarely listened to, but the rest of the album will have you bopping your head whether you want to or not. It seems The Boys wanted to make a fun CD - not the next Supernatural - and it comes through in their hip-hop beats and care Free vocals. Take it at face value and you won't be disappointed. END A definate Grammy Contender for 2001! Well I read Ricky Wrights review, and can we say BIASED? You obviously have no real sense of the word music.. This new album by Nsync is probably the most wonderfully produced, well written, and vocally talented albums I have heard in quite some time.. I personally was expecting a good album, so when i popped that badboy into my CD Player, I was blown away by every single song on the CD.. You can tell that they made this one from the heart, and are Truly into every song they sing.. The high energy ones, well you can't help but bounce along with the funky beats, and sing at your loudest vocal capabilities.. The ballads, are extremely well written and fantastically produced.. And the harmonization on the song "I Thought She Knew" well I have been waiting for almost a year to see if this song would be included on the new album.. I am elated that it is.. It is one of the best A Cappella songs ever recorded.. This album is just simply put amazing.. And for Mr.Wright to say what he said about it, well that leads me to believe he is obvioulsy deaf.. Or maybe he has no appreciation For Real music.. Buy this CD.. you will not be sorry! Massive props to the guys, and on the songs they wrote, I applaud y'all! great album! Not to mention they did this CD without a record label, and put the majority of the funding up themselves.. I guess those who critisized them before are just ashamed to admit they were wrong about NSYNC, and don't wanna fess up that NSYNC is the BEST Vocal Group on the market today.. I guess before you speak, you should actually LISTEN to the albums, and look at them as artists.. Until you do that, don't Call yourself a true music lover, or reviewer.. Keep It Real & God Bless! Laterz! Carrie Finally-an intelligent review First, I would like to address the reviews below that deal with comparing this cd to BSB. NEWS FLASH: THEY ARE TWO VERY DIFFERENT GROUPS. With that said, I can say that this music transcends beyond teenie boppers and stretches to the older crowd. It also proves the difference between *NSYNC and other groups. They write, produce and perform these songs with such passion, how can you help but not enjoy it? The sound gets you moving! As for the few posts below that are out simply to bash these guys, are you BSB fans? are you jealous? are you blind? Whether you like this music or not, at least be fair. Rickey Wright is obviously a BSB fan and he/she shouldn't sound so ignorant when he/she reviews an album. Does she work for Amazon? I hope not, because I'd be hard pressed to purchase anything else from Amazon knowing they employ someone so rude and biased. Being a critic does not include rudeness. For those of you who can't Accept the fact that 5 young men are talented, kind and darling, then I feel sorry for you. Get a life by purchasing this cd.
