This album is okay except ther are way to many ballads for jennifer's weak voice. But up-tempo tracks are good. 1. If You Had My Love - Jennifer big hit, this song is really catchy and good. 2. Should've Never - This is an anverage song, it's a slow song but Jennifer isn't really singing that much, but talking her way through it...it goes a little long. 3. Too Late - Best track on the album... it's a mid tempo R&B number and it's a great song. 4. Feelin' So Good - Another good up-tempo I think Fat Joe & Big Pun are great on this track too. 5. Let's Get Loud - Good up-tempo latin style song. 6. Could This Be Love - This is just..yuck..Jennifer needs to stay away from these types of ballads. 7. No Me Ames [Tropical Remix] - I Love this duet! 8. Waiting for Tonight - This was My Favorite song when I first got the CD. 9. Open of My Love - A nice mid-tempo song. 10. Promise Me You'll Try - A ballad that Jennifer needs to stay away from, she does not have the voice to be singign these types of songs. They just stop the whole CD dead. 11. It's Not That Serious - This song just isn't good...I just don't like it. 12. Talk About Us - Another ballad...that isn't good. 13. No Me Ames - Ballad version, it's good..not as good as the remix that is on the album earlier. 14. Una Noche Mas - Spanish version of "Waiting For Tonight"...it's just as good as the other version. Jennifer is more than just a beautiful girl There's something for everyone on this CD. Beautiful ballads, hot dance-songss, Latin songs and R 'n B songs.
If you had my love: Her first single is a mix of R n'B and Pop. By far not the best song on the album.
Should've never: This is a ballad. Very romantic and dreamy. Even though it's very long it's not boring at all
Too late: Latin-Fans will Love this song
Feelin' so good: With Big Pun and Fat joe. It's a nice party song. It lets me think of a Summer party
Let's get loud: ...With a great dancebeat. ...
Could this be love. This is a ballad. One of the best songs on the album
No me ames (Tropical remix): A Duet with Marc Anthony. This is the up-tempo-version. The slower version is better
Waiting for tonight: This is the ultimate Dance-song by Jennifer Lopez. I Love the sound.
open off my love: Another Latin song. it sounds very erotic.
Promise me You'll try. Another beautiful ballad
it's not that serious: Again a Latin-Song
Talk about us: This ballad is a little bit schmalzy. ...
no me ames (Ballad version). The slow version. That's how it is got to be.
Una noche mas. "Waiting for tonight" in Spanish.
The last two songs are bonustracks:
Baila. This is the fastest song on the whole CD. At first I didn't like it but it grew on me. it kinda sounds like "Let's get loud" but not as good
Theme from Mahogany (Do you know where you're going to)
This is again a ballad. i was very surprised when i heard it because Mariah Carey sings it on her #1's Album but Jennifers version is better - without a doubt. It sounds like it is written for her voice. She sounds wonderful, although her voice is not as good as Mariah's BRAVO A Great Boost For Jennifer Jennifer's fresh new talent, and beautiful image is the perfect example of today's music genre without a doubt. Although Jennifer's vocals are really nothing to speak about, she does do excellent job at delivering notes in an even manner which is more than I can say for other artists (i.e. Britney Spears, Mandy Moore etc..). On her debut album, Ms. Lopez seems to have an Affinity for dance music, R&B, Rap, Pop, Ballads, and Spanish numbers, which is a very good selection for just a debut album. I have reviewed each of the songs by order, and I hope you find these reviews helpful: 1. If You Had My Love: One of My Favorite songs, and her first single of the album. Jennifer's voice has never been so strong, and who can't resist the impeccable dance beat? 10/10 2. Should've Never: A pretty ballad, but the ballad is just a tad bit too long, but Jennifer's talent for ballads really shines through. 8.5/10 3. Too Late: I didn't like this ballad/pop song very much, the chorus sounds out of tune and it doesn't match Jennifer's lovely vocals either. 4/10 4. Feelin' So Good: Also a favorite of mine, I like the choice of rappers on this song (Big Pun, and Fat Joe). The beat is very fun, and Jennifer's vocals are at their finest. 10/10 5. Let's Get Loud: This song was written by Gloria Estefan, and the beat is so latin and yet a fun song to dance to. It's not the best dance song though. 9/10 6. Could This Be Love: An average ballad, but Jennifer's vocals are really pretty here, give it a few listens for it to kick in. 7.5/10 7. No Me Ames (Tropical Remix): Very beautiful Spanish ballad! This is a duet with Marc Anthony, a fantastic latin singer. The remix is great, and should find a few people on the dance floor. 10/10 8. Waiting For Tonight: #1 favorite on this album. Jennifer's vocals have never sounded so nice, and the beat is fantastic and is already becoming one of Jennifer's hits. 10/10 9. Open Off My Love: A very sensual pop song, and you might find yourself playing it over again just being mesmerized. Not one of my favorites, but great nonetheless. 8.5/10 10. Promise Me You'll Try: Favorite ballad on the album. Jennifer's vocals are at their best here, and the slow beat is so relaxing. 10/10 11. It's Not That Serious: Another ballad, not one of my favorites but it is fun in it's own way. 7.5/10 12. Talk About Us: Another ballad, most likely a tribute to Puffy. It's most likely my second favorite ballad on this album, it will start to grow on you after a while and will become addictive. 10/10 13. No Me Ames (Ballad Version): This is the ballad version of No Me Ames, it's still great with or without the remix. 10/10 14. Una Noche Mas: This is the Spanish version of "Waiting For Tonight Buy Jennifer Lopez On The 6 at Amazon.com Buy posters at Allposters.comJamster - the latest ringtones for your phone! |
