| Guns N'Roses - Use Your Illusion 1 Band: Guns N'Roses Tracks: - Right Next Door to Hell - Dust N' Bones - Live and Let Die - Don't Cry [Original Version] - Perfect Crime - You Ain't the First - Bad Obsession - Back off Bitch - Double Talkin' Jive - November Rain - Garden - Garden of Eden - Don't Damn Me - Bad Apples - Dead Horse - Coma There's no illusion, this is great music There are many debates as to which is the better Illusion album and I'd have to say I still haven't really decided after all these years. There are great songs on both and also a few average ones as well. Overall however this is a sensational album. The mega hit Don't Cry and the probably a bit too long November Rain are contained within. Some other brilliant songs on this one are Live and Let Die a remake of the James Bond classic theme song. Bad Apples with a bit of a Redneck theme in the intro. Don't Damn Me is also pretty good. Perfect Crime and Double Talkin' Jive are good but tarnished by a bit of pointless out of place swearing that seems to be on there for no reason other then to say we're bad or something. Coma is a bit stupid but You Ain't the First and Right Next Door to Hell are up there with the best. Dust N' Bones, Dead Horse and The Garden are also worth listening to. The lyrics are included in the CD booklet and overall this isn't a bad album and contains some sensational songs. At times angry, at other times not... The colors of the front covers sum up the all-around eeling of the 2 "Use Your Illusion" albums. The red being the 'hotter' color and blue being the 'softer'. Song's like "Double Talin' Jive" and "Garden of Eden" capture the fast pace of most of the other songs on the album. But just because this is the harder and angrier album doesn't mean that it doesn't get a little soft at times. "November Rain" could be the best written song of the 90's and "You Ain't the First" really slows down the album after one of the more frenzied songs "Perfect Crime". The version of "Don't Cry" included on this album is more of an Actual song, with the Alternate lyric version on 'Illusion II' sounds more like a poem with a guitar riff. While 'Illusion II' might be the better written and better overall album, I find myself having "Illusion I' in my CD Player more often, maybe because the feel of the album is captured much better on this one. But still, both CD's are must buys and are both 2 of the best albums musically from the 90's. forget november rain! "November Rain" is a great song, yes, and it appealed nicely to the VH1 crowd, b ww.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000002QZ/walhello?dev-t=D2V7BZ3GHOOYF0%26camp=2025%26link_code=xm2"> lps to give The Band a lot of live.
