| Fleetwood Mac - Rumours Band: Fleetwood Mac Tracks: - Second Hand News - Dreams - Never Going Back Again - Don't Stop - Go Your Own Way - Songbird - Chain - You Make Loving Fun - I Don't Want to Know - Oh Daddy - Gold Dust Woman BETTER THAN THE FIRST TIME! Rumours is My Favorite album of all time. Hearing this DVD was BETTER than hearing Rumours for the first time. I bought a DVD Player just so I could hear this DVD! It would have been well worth the money for "Silver Springs" alone. My scratchy old 45" pales in comparison to the beautifully haunting version on this production. The album was remastered especially for DVD, and the sound is absolutely incredible. I heard sounds and voices that disappear on the album. The sounds in "Gold Dust Woman" are chilling. And the harmonies, my God, the harmonies! If "Songbird" doesn't make you cry, you have no heart! In addition to the songs from the album, there is a "Making Of..." which is pure gold to any Fleetwood Mac Fan. I cannot gush enough. I'm in Love all over again! Go out and by a DVD Player and this DVD. You won't regret it! My First Inspiration I had been a fan of Fleetwood Mac for a while but never really loved them. After I bought this album I loved them. This is one of those albums that gives you a little of every mood of music. This is because the songs are ,of course, written by several different people. Everyone in The Band contributes something amazing and different. Stevie Nicks is wonderful with her haunting voice and enchanting lyrics. Christine Mcvie is the one to turn to when you want a great pop tune. John McVie provides as one of the best bass players I've ever heard. Mick Fleetwood is easily heard on every track and is amongst the greats in drumming. Then there is Lindsey Buckingham who is the guitarist of The Band and writes and sings majority of their material. No matter which album we're dealing with he steals the show and proves that he IS Fleetwood Mac. He is perhaps the most underrated guitarist there ever was and I would compare him with Hendrix. Buckingham was perhaps the first "rock hero" I ever had and this album is his shining moment. For the best tracks check out "Go Your Own Way", "The Chain", Songbird", and "Never Going Back Again". The Dark Side Of Mac Coming after their successful 1975 eponymous album,Fleetwood Mac drops a bomb on the music world, and its title is Rumours. The album is more tighter, the songwriting top notched, but the overall atmosphere is dense and filled with tension.Contributing to this factor are Various romantic breakups in the group as well as Substance excess. The result is a polished piece of great pop music, shaded with dark undertones.Besides the classic hits(Go Your Own Way,Dreams,Don't Stop,You Make Loving Fun),we also get the masterfully played Lindsey Buckingham track Never Going Back Again,as well as Stevie Nicks rocking Gold Dust Woman. The albums centerpiece The Chain sums up the state of the group, especially when they sacrifice their personal feeling to keep the group together.Fortunately, the classic line-up did keep it going for another ten years before Buckingham quit, only to reunite for President Clinton's inaugurational Ball(as well as 1997's The Dance, and 2003's Say You Will<sans Christine McVie>.In all Rumours is the classic lineup's masterwork which has yet to be matched.
