| Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac Live Band: Fleetwood Mac INCREDIBLE! Fleetwood Mac Live is absolutely awe inspiring. This set is great Live music plain and simple. Mac classics like Go Your Own Way, Sara, and Landslide all performed beautifully. "Rhiannon" is amazing! I would give anything to see Stevie perform Rhiannon like this one more time. Also included are never before released tracks "Fireflies" and Brian Wilson's "Farmer's Daughter" bringing out Fleetwood Mac's harmonizing ability to the listener. Pre Buckingham Nicks Fleetwood Mac song "Oh Well" is played with Lindsey doing an incredible cover. "Don't Let Me Down Again," from the Buckinham Nicks album is also a highlight. Enjoy... Great Live ALBUM There are few bands that can Truly pull off being an OUTSTANDING Live act, but Fleetwood Mac is definetely one. Now this CD was released in 1980, and that shows somewhat in the quality of the recordings, but not enough to affect the overall quality of the CD. It's a Double-CD set, full of Fleetwood Mac classics from the 79-80 mammoth Tusk Tour.
-
The Cd's feature each song from a different stop on the tour, which was very unique thing to do.
-
On the first disk, you get to hear Stevie Nicks sing "Dreams" beautifully from a Live sound check...which is something rare.
-
On the first disk, you also get to experience the mega-hit from their album "Tusk," "Sara"- a song Nicks wrote about her relationship with Don Henley, and also Mick Fleetwood.
-
On Disk 2 you get the full-fledged rock version of Stevie's classic tune "Rhiannon." The intensity of this version is incredible, and Truly displays to listeners how it was back then, and the whole aura of Stevie Nicks. -
Lindsey Buckingham shines his light on "Go Your Own Way," originally from "Rumours."
-
You get to hear an unreleased Live tune by Nicks on Disc 2, called "Fireflies." (and incredible song!)
-The whole Band unites at the end, especially portraying the great voice of Christine McVie, in this number, for "The Farmers Daughter," which could almost be considered an acapella tune. The was written for Fleetwood Mac by The Beach Boys (which is very rare, for Fleetwood Mac to take a song written by someone else.)
-If you Love great rock n' roll, or if you Love Fleetwood Mac you should definetely invest your money in this Truly amazing 2-CD Set! Good for unheard tunes, but try _The Dance_ for Live sound Is Fleetwood Mac wonderful? Yes, of course, no-brainer. Is "Rhiannon" alone worth buying this CD for? Well, yeah - as is "I'm So Afraid" and "Not That Funny," which are positively creepy, and "Landslide," which is very different from both the "white album" version and the version found on _The Dance_. But otherwise? The choice of songs was odd - WHY did they put "The Farmer's Daughter" on here, for example? - and the songs themselves are often more or simply no less appealing on the albums. Nonetheless, this is a great place to find - well, hard-to-find songs, such as Lindsey's version of "Oh Well," "Don't Let Me Down Aggain" (off The Still unreleased Buckingham Nicks album,) and Stevie Nicks' "Fireflies," which, to my knowledge, was never seen or heard of on any other album. So, great place for unheard tracks, but if you want to hear the Mac Live and at their best, this humble fan's recommendation is _The Dance_.
