| Face Down - Forgetting the Constant Fear Classification: Pop Band: Face Down short but very Sweet hc/metalcore FaceDown (the defunct Canadian HC band, not the European thrash band) doesn't get much run here so I'll be the first to tell you to BUY this CD if it ever comes back in stock. Think a more-hc, less-death (or now, less emo, haha) Underoath. These guys stay pretty mid-tempo and chunky, but with some cool changes mixed in. What really separates them from other hc bands, in my eyes, is the darkly melodic twin guitar interplay in many parts on "Forgetting.." - which unfortunately is the only FD CD I have. I know many other bands weave dueling metallic leads into cool sounding riffs, but FaceDown does it to greater effect than most. More memorable than technical, the blackened riffs should raise your goosebumps - especially the intro on song 5. Plus they have a singer named Ozzy so you know this rocks, haha! Only drawback is that this is only 7 songs in 19 minutes, but this CD has HIGH REPLAY value! Also get "Blinded By Delusions" and try not to mistakenly buy one of the many other "face down" bands out there - THIS is the ONLY one you need!!
