The CD comes in a glossy, bound little book with lots of rarely-seen photos and an interesting narrative of his career. The remastering is far superior to other compilations, and also has the most comprehensive songlist I've seen. Eddie deserves it: while never wildly popular, songs like "Summertime Blues" and "C'mon Everybody" stand up to anything Elvis or Chuck Berry ever did (and I Love and respect them both). His prototypically tough, rollicking persona can turn on a dime to tenderness, and with his sense of humor on songs like 'Pink Peg Slacks' and 'Cut Across Shorty', he is a complete performer no one should miss. Yes, the music does sound a little dated these days, but this rockabilly cat has the attitude and the songs....no one who purchaeses this package should be disappointed.
