| Badfinger - The Very Best of Badfinger Band: Badfinger Tracks: - No Matter What - Day After Day - Baby Blue - Name of the Game - Maybe Tomorrow - Come and Get It - Rock of All Ages - Carry on Till Tomorrow - Midnight Caller - We're for the Dark - I'll Be the One - Without You - I'd Die Babe - It's Over - When I Say - Dennis - Lonely You - Love Time - Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch/Should I Smoke the very best of badfinger[original recordings remasterde] not enough warner bros. this is the most complete collection of badfinger's apple label hits and the big improvement over the prieviously best of badfinger is the LP version of baby blue on this new release over the US single mix on apple's cd.but there are to many early songs which is not the sound that there known for, which is power pop rock.some great WB songs are not here, song for a lost friend, shine on,why don't we talk[one of tom evans better songs],no one knows.some of there best work is on WB.but one of joey mollands best songs is here, love theme.but this is a great cd for one who start a badfinger collection.badfinger's greatest vol.2 would be good to have with this one for staters.if youre a hardcore fan like me youll have to buy all there WB cd's to get all the great songs they haveon that label.bottom line very good CD that could have been great. Best Badfinger compilation yet While I agree with the other reviewer who wished for a Badfinger rarities set, this CD looked at on it's own is a far superior collection than the previously issued compilation "Come & Get It". Besides being sonically superior, it is also much more complete as it includes some excellent tracks from their 2 (post-Apple) Warner Brothers albums. Besides all the Apple hits we now have Joey Molland's absolutely gorgeous "Love Time" & Pete Ham's brilliant "Dennis". When heard now in light of the Badfinger tragedy that happened soon thereafter, "Dennis" has become one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. When he sings "There's a way through....", it still Brings tears to my eyes. While I believe this compilation was intended for new fans, it is nevertheless an excellent representation and a great starter kit. This is the CD that should be out there for the public to hear when everyone finally learns of the tragic story of this wonderfully talented band. Not bad; now how about a box set? This CD provides a workmanlike overview of the band's career on both the Apple and Warner Brothers labels. For new or casual fans who only want the biggest hits, it's probably an ideal compilation. And while the song selection isn't as deep as that of the previous "Best Of" CDs (there's really no excuse for them not filling the disc out at a full 78 minutes, BTW), the sound quality is noticably improved with the newer, 24-bit remastering. One can't help wondering, however, when (or if) Apple/EMI plan to issue a box set on this great band. With three or four full-length discs, they could provide a Truly definitive overview of Badfinger's finest moments AND include more of the rare and/or unreleased tracks that fans crave. Perhaps this new disc is the opening salvo of a full-blown reissue campaign by Apple and WB. One can always hope...
