| Babe Ruth - First Base/Amar Caballero Band: Babe Ruth Tracks: - Wells Fargo - The Runaways - King Kong - Black Dog - (a) The Mexican (b) For A Few Dollars More - Joker - Lady - Broken Cloud - Gimme Some Leg - Baby Pride - Cool Jerk - We Are Holding On - Doctor Love - Amar Caballero (Sin Ton Ni Son) - (a) El Caballero De La Reina Isabella - (b) Hombre De La Guitarra - (c) El Testament De N'amelia Classic album...almost Babe Ruth made three really fine albums. "First Base" is by far my favorite. Their Self titled album and "Stealing Home" are excellent as well. "First Base" has some excellent rockers including: Black Dog, The Mexican/For a Few Dollars More, Joker, and (my favorite) The Runaways. Now..."Amar Caballero" is a major disappointment to me. There are a few nice songs (Lady, We are Holding On, and the title track) but the rest of them are really not worth listening to. If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased "First Base" as a single CD and not bothered buying this dual CD. I really do only listen to half of this CD. "First Base" is a classic..."Amar Caballero" is a waste of time. The Mexican "The Mexican" was one of the original B-Boy cuts at the dawn of hip-hop. Required listening in the Bronx in the early 70s. I just received this CD and have been playing it all week. You will most likely find other gems on this disk but if you got it just for The Mexican you won't go wrong. HOME RUN Agreed. Under-rated quartet failed to market themselves effectivley. Haan can out sing anyone from her era. Project suffers from lack of direction. Jenny should've been the frontis...they may have done more than splash. You can sense the promise, but later deliveries failed.
