She has a powerful, bluesy and melodic voice that doesn't get stale when listening to this updated version of 90's bar rock/metal. The songs are well crafted, and the production is similarly very good, which makes the CD an absolute Pleasure to listen to. The CD is already three years old, but it still sounds fresh, honest, and true to its influences. Make no mistake, this CD doesn't really tread new ground, but it does what it does very well. Good Album! I bought this album after I had heard the song Nobody's Wife like hundred times. I bought it and I was sadisfied. Ok it is not perfect but it is really good. It contains Strong rock songs and also slow ballads as well. If you are into alternative music this is a must have. You should also check her other cd. URBAN SOLITUDE . It is really good as well. I LISTEN EVERYDAY I bought the CD because I loved the song "Nobody's Wife" and the first time I listened, I was a bit disappointed coz the "exterior" of the songs Felt like heavy rock. But I gave it another listen, deeper this time, and I am hooked. Anouk is a terrific artist. Her style and lyrics really speak to me, and that's what I look for in a CD - music that has meaning. All of a sudden, the "heavy rock sensation" I initially felt, turned into a melodious, harmonious sensation, hard to describe in words.
