Best Dance Single of the Year!

I first heard this dance track in Miami over the Christmas holiday. It was really popular at the clubs in South Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. I went crazy when the DJ played it! It's unbelievable. At the time I was obsessed with the Jonathan Peters remix of Whitney Houston's "My Love is Your Love", and the David Morales remix of the PSB's "New York City Boy".
I immediately set out to find this single at Various record stores in Miami, unfortunately I didn't know the name of the artist. I ended up buying ATB "Don't Stop", whose signature Electronic rifts are somewhat similar (though not as good) as BOA.
There's a few reasons why BOA works as a dance song: 1) It has a Strong underlying drum beat and rhythm, 2) Alice DeeJay's vocals, but 3) Perhaps most important though, is the mesmorizing Electronic synthesizer chords. I also like the background Electronic blips and pops which have a very video game sound to them.
The liner notes of this CD compares Alice DeeJay to Eiffel 65. I think BOA is WAY better than "Blue". I got sick of listening to Eiffel 65 after 30 minutes. The mixes on this CD are all very good. The version I got has a VERY sexy, but tasteful shot of the female vocalist on the cover. Alice DeeJay is a CD you will want to keep.
The last thing I really like about this song is its crossover appeal. A lot of the songs I've mentioned like "My Love is Your Love" or "New York City Boy" are pretty gay sounding,(I get these nasty looks from the straight guys at my gym when I ask the attendant to play those CDs during my workout) while at the same time, no cool gay club would ever play "Blue"-- it's just too straight sounding. I think "Better Off Alone" has excellent crossover appeal to both audiences, gay and straight.

FLAWLESS !

Excellent track by Alice Deejay. They play it in the clubs in ABQ, NM and people start dancing like there's no stopping. This Germany Cd import has the songs:
Better Off Alone: 1)Radio Edit 2)Vocal Clubmix 3)Signum remix 4)Instrumental mix 5)Ponti & Kalmani Vocal Remix 6)Club Dub
This CD Single Import does contain more than one track.
I do suggest for fans of Techno, House, Hard House, Electronica, ETC. This is a must have for music lovers everywhere. My Favorite track is #2 Vocal Clubmix. It starts off as the regular club pounding beat and adds instruments that will make you feel like you like you wish the song was NEVER over. The song also contains vocals! The beats are great so are the vocals: "Do you think you're better off alone?" & "Talk to me" ohhohohohohhhh. hehehe.
Well, This is a track that I am going to definitely keep in my dance collection forever. Hope my review helped! Thanks for taking your time in reading my review.

Awesome Vocal Trance Single!

Alice Deejay's single is excellent! She has some talent and thats for sure. You cant get sick of this single because all of the awesome remixes that it contains. My Favorite track on this single hit is #3 the "Signum Remix". The tracks are wrong on this cd, the original one from the US contains the following tracks:
1)Radio Edit
2)Vocal Clubmix
3)Signum Remix
4)Pronti & Kalmani Vocal RMX
5)Pronti & Kalmani Club Dub
6)Mark Van Dale with Enrico RMX
Riding high on the "Pop-Trance" phenomenon that is currently breaking out of Europe (ie Eiffel 65, Sonique), Netherlands-based Alice Deejay is now poised to take on the US with their worldwide smash "Better Off Alone". The track has become an international anthem about the joys of being single. It has hypnotic vocals entwined around a heavy net of haunting melodies. The result manages to be touching yet refreshing, with a feminine touch of raw and fragile emotion that makes the track stand out from the pack.
I highly recommend this vocal trancer to anyone!
