| Ace of Base - Life Is a Flower Band: Ace of Base Very Good! As one of Ace of Base's biggest fans, I eagerly anticipated recieving my new CD. Being an import, it was nice to find that it was currently so easily found. Once upon hearing the single, Life Is A Flower, I thought they might have shipped the wrong CD, but to my suprise they had written different words to a song on their newly released "Cruel Summer" album. The music comes from the song entitled "Whenever You're Near Me," but is suprisingly good. Both tracks have a good rythym, which makes for a good song. Overall I enjoy both "versions." From what I understand, this "CD single" comes in several import "versions." I have both the maxi-single and the version with "The Sign" and "All That She Wants." Both of which are fantastic! "No Good Lover" makes it Five stars Alright this is a release for the "Flowers" album, which this song, "life is a flower" was a huge hit in the UK. The US version of "Life is a flower" is "Whenever your near me" which did not do to well the air play charts. Anyhow here is a break down of each track, Five in all: 1. Life is a flower (Album Version) 2. Life is a flower (Reggae Version)-this is an radio version of the song, the only difference is that, its like an Acousic rock version, they stay very close to the album version 3. Life is a flower (Extended Version)- again very much like the album version, it fades out at the end, which I don't like on extended versions of songs, buts its good. It clocks in at 5:44 4. Life is a flower (Soul Poets Night Club Mix) Eww, what were they thinking, the same thing is repeated over and over again for most of the song (In the Free world, is a flowers, yeah, I'm living for the night), its not really a dance song, I like their remix of "Cruel Summer" and "Everytime it rains" much better than this one. 5. No Good Lover (Un-release track)This is a very good song, which makes me give the CD a rate of Five stars. I Love this song, they always do great songs like this, which makes me wonder why they are not put on the album. This songs makes me think of that special someone, that I'll never have. Anyhow... Overall, get it, what can you lose, and besides if you are an die-hard-fan, of course you will go out of your way to get it. I also like the art work in the disk.Most of the inner notes are in some foreign tongue.
